Lord's Wines received a gold medal at the 2014 Michelangelo International Wine Awards for the Lord's Sauvignon Blanc 2014.

In 2013 Lord's wines also received two gold medals for the Lord’s Pinot Noir 2011 and the Lord’s Shiraz 2010.

The Lord’s Sauvignon Blanc 2014 follows on the Sauvignon Blanc 2013, a Bronze Old Mutual Trophy 2014 winner.

Winemaker Ilse van Dijk commented that she was ecstatic to again be rewarded with a very prestigious gold medal for her wine.


The Sauvignon Blanc 2014 is a refreshing and aromatic dry white wine, with a lingering aftertaste and fresh, crisp swallow. Citrus aromas with grassy tropical fruit flavours. Served chilled it will complement any dining table.

Lord's Wines received two gold medals at the 2013 Michelangelo International Wine Awards for the Lord's Pinot Noir 2011 and the Lord's Shiraz 2010.

 In 2012 Lord's wines also received a Gold Medal for the Lord's Pinot Noir 2010. Winemaker Ilse van Dijk commented that she was ecstatic to receive Gold Medals for consecutive vintages of the Pinot Noir thus confirming the reputation of Lord's Wines as one of the premier Pinot Noir producing cellars in South Africa.

 The Lord's Shiraz 2010 also follows on the highly successful Lord's Shiraz 2009 which was voted one of the Top 10 Shiraz by Wine magazine.

 The Lord's Shiraz 2010 is available for purchase right now along with the Lord's Pinot Noir 2010.

 A very limited release of the Lord's Pinot Noir 2011 of only a 100 cases will be available in October 2013 to Lord's Wine Club members ahead of its release in 2014.

The people at Lord's Wines are passionate about conservation and was therefore keen to get involved with the Landmark foundation's Leopard project when approached. The foundation places motion activated cameras on farms and monitors Leopard and other predator species. The photos below are some of the animals captured around the Lord's Wines farm. What makes this achievement even more special is that only three Pinot Noirs received this honour in 2012. The Lord's Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2011 also received a silver medal.
