Born and raised on the family farm outside McGregor, Jacie has always had big dreams. After studying and working simultaneously, Jacie matured into a successful entrepreneur that paved his own way, returning to his hometown and family farm in 1993. He worked closely with his father to learn the art of viticulture in this unique and rewarding terroir. Since the establishment of Lord’s in 2003, Jacie has worked with the best winemakers, honing his skills, to produce the award-winning wines crafted at Lord’s today.

Jacques is an expert in public relations, communications strategy, and event management.

He worked exclusively with the lifestyle and hospitality industry for five years, prior to starting his own public relations agency, East House PR. His most transferable role was as the public relations and events coordinator at World Design Capital 2014: Cape Town, with international and national responsibility, where he truly learned how to use a brand’s strengths to leverage success.

Growing up on the family’s farm, Melané appreciates the hard work that goes into a growing business.  After attaining a diploma in copywriting at Red & Yellow Creative School of Business, she returned home to join the family in with various business ventures.

Gaining experience in the hospitality and wine industry, she took on the role as sales ambassador for Lord’s Wines.  Today Melané runs the exclusive wine club and service our private clients.

Samuel was born and raised in McGregor and joined Lord’s Wines after he matriculated High School. Under the guidance of Jacie Oosthuizen and through hard work and determination, he rose to the position of Assistant Winemaker. Always ready with a smile, and with first hand knowledge of everything McGregor, Samuel is a legend in the Lord’s family. It is also no wonder then, that the most common phrase on the farm is: “Ask Samuel!”
