Owner & Founder
Born and raised on the family farm outside McGregor, Jacie has always had big dreams. After studying and working simultaneously, Jacie matured into a successful entrepreneur that paved his own way, returning to his hometown and family farm in 1993. He worked closely with his father to learn the art of viticulture in this unique and rewarding terroir. Since the establishment of Lord’s in 2003, Jacie has worked with the best winemakers, honing his skills, to produce the award-winning wines crafted at Lord’s today.
Public Relations Consultant
Jacques is an expert in public relations, communications strategy, and event management.
He worked exclusively with the lifestyle and hospitality industry for five years, prior to starting his own public relations agency, East House PR. His most transferable role was as the public relations and events coordinator at World Design Capital 2014: Cape Town, with international and national responsibility, where he truly learned how to use a brand’s strengths to leverage success.
Originally from Pretoria, Louwrens moved to Stellenbosch in 2006 to obtain a Higher Diploma in Professional Cheffing and Baking from the Institute of Culinary Arts. After a brief stint in kitchens both locally and abroad, he found his true calling – wine! Working as Commis Sommelier at the world renown Cellars-Hohenort Hotel in Constantia, Louwrens experienced a world of wine reserved for the lucky few. From there he decided to combine his love for wine and people, and took on the challenge of running a 5-star wedding and function venue, at a prestigious wine farm in Stellenbosch. Looking to expand his horizons, he entered the corporate world of sales, with great success. But, as with all things worthy, the wonderful world of wine beckoned, and he joined the Lord’s family in 2018 as General Manager

Samuel was born and raised in McGregor and joined Lord’s Wines after he matriculated High School. Under the guidance of Jacie Oosthuizen and through hard work and determination, he rose to the position of Assistant Winemaker. Always ready with a smile, and with first hand knowledge of everything McGregor, Samuel is a legend in the Lord’s family. It is also no wonder then, that the most common phrase on the farm is: “Ask Samuel!”
