Description

Lord’s Wines MCC Brut NV

The Lord’s Wines MCC Brut NV is a refined, zero-dosage Cap Classique of exceptional purity and complexity. It comes from vineyards perched 500 metres above sea level, where cool mountain air slows ripening and preserves natural acidity. As a result, every bottle captures the true character of the altitude and the fruit.

Crafted from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this sparkling wine stands among the finest MCCs South Africa has to offer. Above all, it speaks to those who value precision, restraint and genuine elegance in a glass.

Winemaking & Craftsmanship

The team hand-harvests the grapes at first light to preserve freshness and natural acidity. Subsequently, they whole-bunch press the fruit and guide it through traditional method fermentation.

In addition, a slow secondary fermentation unfolds in the bottle, where the wine rests on the lees for 12 months. This quiet evolution builds texture, depth and nuance over time. Importantly, zero dosage means the team adds nothing and conceals nothing. Consequently, only the purity of the fruit and the precision of the winemaking remain.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, crystalline notes of green apple and citrus emerge with quiet clarity. In addition, subtle brioche and yeast complexity speak directly to the 12 months of lees ageing.

The mousse is fine and persistent, while the palate is mineral-driven and impeccably balanced. Furthermore, the finish is both precise and enduring. Ultimately, this is a sparkling wine of understated luxury — built for those who appreciate true refinement.
